2 Army Blackhawk helicopters crash during training in Kentucky

Officials said two US Army Blackhawk helicopters crashed during a training incident in Kentucky on Wednesday night.
“The condition of the crew members is currently unknown. The command is currently focused on caring for service members and their families,” Fort Campbell said in a statement earlier in the day. Thursday.
The helicopters participating were from the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), it said.
According to base officials, they were involved in a training incident when they crashed around 10 p.m. in Trigg County, located west of Fort Campbell.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said deaths are expected.
“We’ve got some tough news from Fort Campbell, with initial reports of a helicopter crash and expected fatalities,” Beshear wrote on Twitter. He said state police and local officials are responding.
“Please pray for all those affected,” Beshear said in the message.
The 101st Airborne Division is an Army air assault division known as the “Screaming Eagles”.
