A total of 14,514 summons were issued by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) during the Hari Raya festival. Taking place from April 18 to 25, Aidilfitri Mobilization and Campaign Motorcycles 2023 also seized 500 motorbikes.
According to JPJ Deputy Director of Enforcement Datuk Lokman Jamaan, 51,039 motorcycles were inspected while seizures were applied to license holders, insurance and other violations. Operations are carried out at 291 locations nationwide.
Lokman said the main violations were without a driver’s license, of which 4,583 summons were issued and road taxes expired, with 2,600 summons, as reported by Lokman. Bernama.
