I live for preppy style. I ended up falling madly in love with fashion even though I wore a school uniform all my childhood. The funniest thing is that while many of my classmates complain about the constriction of knee-length skirts and uniforms, I like the uniformity. I had fun bending the rules by tucking trousers into my Oxford shirt and experimenting with different knee-high socks. We all wear the same outfit every day but somehow make it different. It was very interesting for me to watch.
A few years later, I entered adulthood, coincidentally around that time preppy style really succeeded with its re-emergence into the fashion industry. Designers who stick with this aesthetic like Burberry, Thom Browne, and Marc Jacobs were delighted, and so am I, as I kept some nostalgic notes from my childhood hanging in my closet.
