On Friday, Published zoom that it is acquiring Workvivo, an employee engagement and communication platform founded in 2017 and used by multiple brands including Lululemon, Ryanair and Liberty Mutual.

Workvivo is an app that functions as a central hub that employees can use for workplace communication and engagement tools such as polls, surveys, thank yous, email notifications , community groups, org charts, shared calendars, etc.

Zoom says that the primary goal of the acquisition is to provide customers with a new way to engage with today’s hybrid work model and help maintain the company culture.

“Engaging employees and driving culture through connectivity is no longer a ‘good thing to have’ – it’s a must for success in today’s business environment,” Zoom said in a press release. “.

Following the close of the transaction, which is expected to occur in Q1 of fiscal 2024, Zoom plans to incorporate Workvivo capabilities into its platform. The actual terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
