Young carers: The children missing from the system
Almost 180,000 youngsters who take care of a relative could also be lacking out on help as a result of they don’t seem to be recognized to their council, BBC Information evaluation suggests.
Native authorities have an obligation to determine, assess and help youngsters who present a caring position, however consultants say many are usually not getting the assistance and break day they want.
The Native Authorities Affiliation stated with “enough funding” councils might “do extra”. The UK authorities stated it was councils’ responsibility to help carers.
