Auggie’s story begins with a rope. As an “outside dog,” he didn’t know much about the world beyond his driveway into Oklahoma, where he was tied to a pole day after day. He was neglected in every sense of the word. One day, because she was so hungry, Auggie chewed on her rope and ran to find help.

Auggie made his way to his neighbors, and as soon as they saw him, they were horrified by his condition. Poor dog is just skin and bones, ribs protrude so much that you can count them one by one. . When they learned that Auggie’s mother was still in the driveway, tied to the same garage in a similar condition, they called the authorities for help freeing the two dogs. Brave boy Auggie saved himself and his mother that day.
