Yamaha YZF-R25 and MT-25 owners in Malaysia have been informed that a recall has been issued due to a brake failure. Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has issued a recall notice for the Yamaha R25 and MT-25 to test ABS pipe routing in accordance with Yamaha specifications.
The chassis numbers of the affected R25 sports cars are PMYRG7510N0000101 through PMYRG7510P0001294. For MT-25 naked sports, affected frame numbers are PMYRG7520N0000101 to PMYRG7520P0001412.
Owners of affected chassis numbers will receive separate notification from the second week of May 2023. Once notified, customers should contact an authorized HLYM or HLYM dealer directly to reserve maintenance appointment.
If R25 or MT-25 is found to be unsafe for use prior to notification, the customer is advised to visit HLYM authorized dealers directly or to HLYM. Details are available on the HLYM website or the Yamaha Motor Malaysia app.
