The Welsh team co-owned by actor Ryan Reynolds are preparing for back-to-back promotions – this time to the third tier of English football, and that will be just two steps away. Premier League.
Wrexham can secure promotion on Saturday if they get through Green Forest at the Racecourse Ground and if both MK Dons And Barrow cannot win.
With three games remaining, Wrexham sit second in League Two – four points behind Stockport. The top three teams will be automatically promoted to League One and the next four teams will enter the knockout stages for a final promotion spot.
Forest Green won’t be pushed up – the team are in last place and are fighting to avoid relegation.
Host MK Dons ranked fourth Mansfield. Barrow in sixth place will compete at the Gillingham.
Reynolds and co-star Rob McElhenney bought the little-known club for $2.5 million in 2021.
Last season, they won the National League title to return to the Football League – three divisions below the Premier League – for the first time in 15 years.
