On the latest “World Cup Now”, former USMNT Players Jimmy Conrad, DaMarcus Beasley and Sacha Kljestan shared which teams they think will have a magical run and which teams are key to making it through to the Round of 16.
Conrad: In my frame I’ve got USA defeat Netherlands, Maroc beat Spain, Portugal finally made it to the semi-finals and France beat England.
Beasley: I’m picking Morocco for a surprise run, and Argentina was the key to me getting through to Round 16. I also met Switzerland against Portugal – that was my great sadness.
Kljestan: If I had to pick one team to win as the weaker team in the Round of 16, I would choose Japan to defeat Croatiaand — despite the loss — I think Brazil end south Korea is a padlock.
