Always sad to see a story about a Car accident in which someone is seriously injured, but there are particularly strange circumstances surrounding this person. A woman in Kansas City, Mo., accidentally ran over her husband – twice – when he got under their car in an attempt to knock out a bowling ball.
As reported in Kansas City Stars and other local shops, the man and woman, both 25 years old, were driving Saturday afternoon in downtown Kansas City, with a woman at the wheel, as they crossed the street with a bowling ball rolling on the road. The ball got stuck under the car and the road surface. So the man got out and got under the car to try to pry it out.
At that moment, a suspect approached the car and reached inside to retrieve the wallet of the woman in the front seat next to it. She engages in a tug-of-war with the attacker. And that’s when her foot hit the accelerator.
And that’s when she ran past her husband. When she heard him scream, she reversed the car and ran over him again.
The wallet robber will run, without a wallet.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition but has been treated in a stable condition. Police have not released the names of the couple.
Later that day, a man walked into the nearest police precinct, where police said he admitted to rolling a bowling ball in the direction of a moving car. Wallet robbers do not count. The accounts did not respond to the question of whether the actions of the pitcher and the purse snatcher had anything to do with each other, but since one showed up, it’s probably all just a weird coincidence and tragic. And one joke went horribly wrong.
