The World of Hyatt card also offers automatic Explorer status, which really isn’t that exciting (other than the potential fit for M Life). But cards that make it easier to reach higher elite status levels are more valuable.

The top Hyatt Globalist status requires 60 qualifying nights in a calendar year, but you can reduce that number pretty quickly if you’re a heavy user of the World of Hyatt Card.

You can aim to spend $15,000 on the card each year to earn additional Category 1-4 awards, and that spend alone will give you a total of 11 qualifying nights for Hyatt status, just 49 nights left to achieve Globalization status.

For those unfamiliar, World of Hyatt Globalist status unlocks some really nice perks for traveling families, including:

  • Club lounge access
  • Free vac kit upgrades available
  • Kit upgrade certificate has been confirmed
  • Includes free breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children at locations without a club room
  • 4:00pm late check-out and free parking upon prize redemption

It’s fair to say that Hyatt Globalist status is one of the hotel’s most elite statuses for families

Earn up to 4 points per dollar

Ultimately, the World of Hyatt Credit Card is the best card for Hyatt expenses, as it offers four points per dollar charged on Hyatt stays and experiences, including at restaurants and participating spas in Hyatt hotels.

However, it’s also good for other expenses, such as gym memberships, where the card rewards 2 Hyatt points for every dollar charged. In addition to gyms and fitness clubs, you’ll also earn 2 points per dollar on local travel and transportation, including ride-hailing services.

Who can apply for a World of Hyatt credit card?

If you want a World of Hyatt Credit Card, be sure and read the fine print.
