These are the large electric cars with the best range. The following vehicles were selected from the large passenger car segment of the VFACTS sales rankings published by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries.
We used the certified range for Australia published in the Green Car Guide for each of these vehicles, which fits the more lenient NEDC test cycle as it allows us to compare these vehicles to a consistent standard.

The Porsche Taycan with Performance Battery Plus has a claimed maximum driving range of 651km in Australia.
Using just 17.8kWh/100km depending on the equipment, the Porsche Taycan has an electric motor that produces 380kW of power and 710Nm of torque. The car is also equipped with a total battery capacity of 105kWh.

Mercedes-Benz EQE
The Mercedes-Benz EQE 300 Auto is claimed to have the longest range in its line-up, with a maximum range of 626km in Australia.
Power comes from a single electric motor on the rear axle, producing a quoted output of 180kW and 550Nm.
At $134,900 before on-road costs, the EQE 300 has a smaller battery than the rest of the family, holding 89kWh. It uses 16.3kWh per 100km.

Audi e-tron GT
The Audi e-tron GT is said to have a range of up to 540km in Australia.
With a starting price of $182,400 before on-road costs, the e-tron GT has a total battery capacity of 93kWh and consumes 19.2kWh per 100km.
The base e-tron GT has a system output of 350kW and 630Nm of torque, which can be increased to 390kW and 640Nm in turbo mode.
