Which channel is the Panthers vs. Washington today? Time, TV schedule for NFL week 11 game
This Carolina Panthers team could have some life! Cameron Newton injected a dose of adrenaline into Sunday’s Panthers attack against the then NFC-led Cardinals, scoring touchdown in his first two innings. That overshadowed the quiet, efficient performance of midfielder Phillip Walker, who completed 22 of 29 167-yard passes. The Panthers will be looking to build on a 34-10 win over the Washington Soccer Team, who are on a surprising run of wins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady.
Washington made Brady look completely lost last week, putting him in two interceptions and almost getting a third. Taylor Heinicke completed 26 of 32 passes and failed to flip the ball, making it his best performance since Week 4. The job didn’t get any easier this week against a Panthers defence. sometimes sloppy, but overall very good.
The biggest difference to the Panthers isn’t Newton, of course. Rather, it is the performance of Christian McCaffrey. Last week, the always great back-runner hit 95 yards on 13 passes last week, and was tagged another 66 yards on 10 catches. McCaffrey was one of the league’s top 10 defenders when fit, of course the question is whether the Panthers can look to other attacking sources to keep him that way. They may have to ask for more of Walker in the game against Washington, who are fifth in the league than the race.
The opposite was true for Washington, as they faced a Panthers defense that finished second in the league against the pass. Antonio Gibson controlled the ball well against the Buccaneers last week – Washington may need a similar performance to ease Heinicke’s pressure against a resilient Panthers central defender bolstered by the addition of Stephon Gilmore.
