Joe Burrow Injury Update: Bengals QB with finger injury looks terrible compared to Chargers

The Bengals are trying to bounce back after being 24 points clear of the Chargers in their Week 13 match. They’ll have to do it with Joe Burrow operating at less than 100 percent.

Burrow suffered a horrible-looking finger injury late in the first half of the competition. He attempted to perform a downward tap to cut the Charger’s cord down to 11 but came out with the little finger of his throwing hand pointing in the wrong direction.

Burrow spent the next drive of the Charger experimenting with different tape jobs on his fingers. He appeared extremely uncomfortable while dealing with the injury and tried to hold the ball and throw the ball.

However, the Bengals quarterback remained on the field as Cincinnati regained the ball with a final header in the second half. He doesn’t appear to be wearing a wrap or brace on his finger. He completed 3 out of 5 17-yard passes but was unable to lead the Bengals to the score.

Burrow prioritized his little finger in the final drive of the half, and he didn’t seem to have much of his pass. The Bengals should have tried to say the Hail Mary to end the first half but chose not to hit the ball and stop the clock to do so, presumably due to Burrow’s injured finger.

Burrow played the entire second half for the Bengals and after the game he explained that he had dislocated his little finger.

“It’s just something I’m going to have to deal with,” said Burrow, ESPN’s Ben Baby.

So Burrow will continue to overcome the injury. That said, he couldn’t find a splint or glove that he was comfortable using to pitch, so we’ll have to see if that affects his move forward. are not.

Should Burrow be absent at any time, backup quarterback Brandon Allen will be the starter. Allen had a career 2-6 record at the start but completed 63% of his passes for 938 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions with the Bengals. He has played a total of 36 times for the team in a few games against the Lions, Browns and Steelers this season.
