Where is ‘College GameDay’ this week? Location, schedule, guest selector for the weekend conference championship
“College GameDay” kicked off the regular season with a trip to Atlanta in Week 0 and will end the regular season with a return trip over conference championship weekend.
Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack, Lee Corso and Co. is heading to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for a preview of the SEC championship game between No.1 Georgia and No.3 Alabama – the fourth time the Bulldogs have been featured on the show this season and the first for the Crimson Tide.
There’s no bigger game than the congress championship weekend, as both Georgia and Alabama are considered the top two teams in the country this year. The Bulldogs enter the game as the only undefeated Power 5 team in the country, while the Crimson Tide overcomes a mid-season loss to Texas A&M – and the last few games since – to enter the game. Play this with the score 11-1. The winner will not only take the SEC championship but also potentially the overall #1 seed in the playoffs.

That said, the stakes are not the same for these teams heading into Atlanta. The Bulldogs were the only team that could lose a weekend championship game and still be in the playoffs. In that sense, Kirby Smart and Co. just competing to sow seeds. However, Alabama is in win-or-else mode. A loss would knock the Crimson Tide out of the playoffs for only the second time in the CFP era (and the second in three years).
Does the Crimson Tide stand a chance against the Bulldogs? They will need epic matches from Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young and Bronko Nagurski finalist Will Anderson Jr. if they want to keep the game over. Alabama will need more than just them, but it’s a good starting point for Nick Saban and Co.
On the other side, can Kirby Smart finally get past his former coach with one of the most talented defenses in recent college football memory? Only time will tell.

Where is the location of the ‘College GameDay’ for Week 14?

This will be the ninth time “GameDay” has entered the SEC championship game, and the third in four years. Georgia was featured in the game five times; Alabama has been introduced four times.
The Bulldogs are 0-5 in such appearances, losing by an average of 18.8 points per game. That also includes a 0-2 record against Alabama, although the failure rate in those games is significantly smaller: just 5.5 points per game (excluding the 2018 College Football Playoff championship game. also held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium).
Alabama is 3-1 in its four SEC championship games previewed by “GameDay.” The only loss was the first coming in 2008, when Tim Tebow led second-place Florida to a win over top-ranked Alabama. The Crimson Tide won their next three games, including a rematch against the Gators and two wins over Georgia.
