Ceccato was founded by Pietro Ceccato in 1934 after he won the Italian championship at the Rudge Stadium.
The company produces industrial items such as hydraulic elevators, air compressors and service station equipment.
After World War II, they started producing 38cc mounted engines for bicycles and later small capacity motorcycles – one of which you see here.
The 1951 75 Sport 2-stroke was the first true motorcycle the company produced.
Later models included a 175cc 4-stroke production racer and a 200cc horizontal parallel twin.
The factory employed more than 700 people in the mid-fifties.
The company stopped producing motorcycles in 1961 but became the world’s largest manufacturer of car and train washing equipment.
