When and where to see the Tesla Cybertruck in Sydney, Australia

Tesla has confirmed when and where its controversial electric pickup truck will be on display during the first leg of its Australian tour.

ONE post on Xformerly known as Twitter, the electric car maker has confirmed Electronic truck will initially be displayed in four galleries around New South Wales.

Vehicles will be displayed at:

  • Tesla Sydney, April 26 to May 5
  • Tesla Chatswood, May 6-12
  • Tesla Parramatta, May 13 to 19
  • Tesla Miranda, May 20 to 26

The angular electric vehicle, which is yet to be launched in Australia, was today paraded around some of Sydney’s iconic locations in a bid to attract attention for the tour.

Earlier today, Tesla Australia and New Zealand uploaded an image of the Electronic truck at Bondi Beach to his Instagram account, with the electric pickup truck parked next to the recently revealed vehicle Sample 3 Efficiency.

Cybertruck sightings – such as the photos below, posted by Kevin Ngo to the Tesla Owners Australia Facebook group – would indicate a lot of interest from viewers.

The electric vehicle (EV) giant also posted a video of a Cybertruck driving around North Sydney, running special license plates because it drives on the left and is not registered for road use by the public.

Last year Tesla announced a major update Model S sedan and Model X The SUV – both of which are already on sale in Australia – will no longer be produced with right-hand drive due to low demand.

Another hurdle to the Cybertruck’s local showroom launch is its controversial design, which experts say is unlikely to meet the Australian Design Rules (ADR).

Tesla recently committed an ADR with its upgraded version Car model 3, following the launch of the updated car in Australia without an accessible center tether to install a child seat in the second row. This resulted in a stop of sale and a recall.

Tesla previously allowed Australians to place a $150 deposit on a Cybertruck through its website, although the ability to do so was removed at the end of 2021 and replaced with a single information page .
