WhatsApp to NOW lets you set a desktop cover photo: Know how to set it up
WhatsApp will allow you to set your cover photo along with your profile picture. Here’s how it works and see where it is.
WhatsApp is growing at a very fast rate and it looks like it wants to be more like Facebook in the coming days. We’ve seen WhatsApp borrow some popular features from the Facebook Messenger app, and now it’s looking to copy another feature from Facebook itself, which has been around for years. WhatsApp users will now be able to see the cover photo as the background for their profile picture – the layout will largely be similar to the cover photo we see on Facebook.
Note During the first WABetaInfo launch, it was noticed that WhatsApp was looking to bring the cover photo feature to its users. There is no idea behind this other than efforts to make informational pages look better or more informative. There is a caveat, however, and that may not allow everyone to use the feature. Read on to know why.

WhatsApp Cover Photo feature coming soon
The WhatsApp Cover Photo feature will only be available to WhatsApp Business users, the feature is also only available on the desktop app with the latest update. Therefore, in order to have a Cover Photo, you will need to have your WhatsApp Business account and you will need to view it on your desktop.
Note that the WhatsApp Cover Photo feature has been around for a while for WhatsApp Business for iOS users. Those using the WhatsApp Business app in beta were able to set up their own cover photo. This feature is yet to be finalized for WhatsApp Business on Android and is currently in beta for the WhatsApp Desktop app.
“With a cover photo, you can enhance your business profile by adding a header image, and when customers and other businesses visit your profile, they’ll be able to see the cover photo. Note that this is another business tool, so it is not possible to set up a cover photo from a standard WhatsApp account,” says WABetaInfo.

While the cover photo is heading for WhatsApp Business accounts, it remains to be seen whether regular users will also be able to set it up. Among other developments, it is rumored that WhatsApp is also planning to build a subscription-based model for Business users. For casual users, WhatsApp recently released the ability to react to messages using emojis – both on group chats and on individual chats.
