It was the end of an era. The 3DS eShop has closed, so people can’t buy digital games anymore. I mean, there is a temporary exemption for those who still have the download code exchange them until April 3, 2023. But it’s largely done. So in that frenzy to take advantage of the storefront while it’s still around… what did you get? Let’s talk about our last purchase.
I’m pretty sure the last game I bought on the 3DS was Lawyer Ace: Spirit of Justice. It was after a conversation with my friend about how terrible it was Double Fate compared to the first four games of the series, and then she emphasized that the spirit of justice is really good. So I bought it and then gave up somewhere in the second case. The story is on a ridiculous level that I can’t subscribe to in Double Fate and honestly, the new gimmick with past memories feels like they’ve made the cases a lot more complicated than they need to be. Until that magic is The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice kills my interest in Great lawyer the same way Nintendo killed off the 3DS and Wii U eShops. — Stephanie
The last game I chose was Liberation Girl on the US 3DS eShop. While I already own all Level-5 Club 01 And 02 game, somehow I missed that game for years. Since these are digital exclusives, I thought I couldn’t risk losing access to these pieces of history! Sure, this particular game has arrived on iOS devices as well, but you can’t get it there either! — jenni

One of the last games released for one platform, it’s simultaneously a game of tactical battles and an expansive pun. It was a weird little experiment and I chose a physical copy!
