What Matthew Stafford said to Joe Burrow during the mic’d up moment after Super Bowl 56
Matthew Stafford has stolen the soul of the Bengal, but shows that he himself still has a soul.
Stafford led the Rams down the field at the end of Super Bowl 56’s fourth quarter and brought home packed Cincinnati after Cooper Kupp’s touchdown pass (and subsequently, Aaron Donald sealed the game).
Rams QB admitted a few weeks ago that he’s happy to break hearts. He did, however, spend time watching the game, trying to mend the heart he had broken during the Bengals’ QB Joe Burrow.
The two shared a warm post-game moment, as Stafford searched the Burrow and offered some words of encouragement during your typical post-game brawl with opposing players.
“Where’s Joe?”

THAN: Joe Burrow May Have A New Best Friend After Super Bowl 56
“You’re a hell of a player, you have a great future, man. Love to compete with you. You just stay friends, buddy,” Stafford told Burrow in their post-match embrace.
While the Bengals can’t get rid of the Rams, Burrow’s time at the top may be coming. The second-year passer will be determined to join his team in the Super Bowl despite the obvious offensive line issues throughout the knockout stages. Cincinnati’s work this season is cut out for them.
One thing’s for sure, though: Burrow seems to have no problem being himself – at least if His wardrobe is any indication.
