There have been a lot of cars over the years that never lived up to expectations. Whether it is a convertible is not as exciting as as you’d expect or an incomplete passerby rugged as you would expect, there are a lot of cars that show you shouldn’t always believe the hype. Sometimes that can even happen to the sportiest looking models you see running around town.
So that’s what we’re looking for today, performance cars that never lack the fit to match their bark. Whether it’s underpowered, doesn’t have the handling you’d expect, or doesn’t look as good as it should, we’d love to hear your picks for the highest performance cars ever made. What do you have?
High-performance cars can come in a few different skins, so it could be a race-inspired model that lacks some of the luxuries you ask for on the road, or it could be a The off-road vehicle is supposed to be rough so its luxurious trims obstruct your view. Its trail settles grunts. Either way you want to do this, we are all listening.
I’m sure we can argue ’till the cows come home a specific BMW M car that’s never hit the hype (probably the M3 E90 CRT), and you’ll certainly have a least-loved Civic Type R to add to the mix. Or if we’re talking closer to home, then you might not get the hype around New Dodge Demon 170with outdated engines and inappropriate styling.
Or maybe your selection is something like Nissan Juke Nismo RS: a performance-focused SUV that comes with too much power its powerful transmission can’t handle. Even so, I’m still undecided whether this is considered overrated or just bad.
