Lightroom has evolved into an extremely versatile and powerful program that is capable of tackling many things that previously had to be turned to Photoshop. However, there is always room for growth. This great video essay features a seasoned Lightroom educator discussing five things he still wants to see Adobe add to the program.
Coming to you from Anthony Morganti, this fun video essay discusses five features he’d love to see added to Lightroom. Morganti is one of the most popular Lightroom veterans out there and knows the app inside and out, so it’s well worth hearing from him on what could make it better. Of the five adjustments he mentioned, I’d like to see the full availability of the added adjustments to the new mask panel. Lightroom’s masking capabilities have evolved tremendously, and they’ve fundamentally changed the way I edit my photos, both in terms of the effect and the adjustments I make. However, unlike Photoshop, there are quite a few adjustments missing. For example, I’d love to be able to take advantage of the HSL panel and automatic sky selection to quickly add a color layer to the sky and highlight the blues.
