Sandra Oh is living his rock star dream.
The kill New Year’s Eve the star jumps into the backseat—while Duran Duran guitar player Nick Taylor take the wheel and lead vocals Simon Le Bon riding a shotgun—to play music in this exclusive clip from Apple TV+’s Carpool Karaoke: Series.
“This isn’t just a dream come true,” Sandra told Nick and Simon. “I don’t think I’ve ever dreamed of this.”
However, Sandra is determined to take her dreams to the next level—and beyond the limits of the car.
“May I ask you a big favor?” she asked. “Is it possible that we can perform together on stage?”
Without hesitation, Simon replied, “I think that can be arranged.” Nick agrees and says, “We can do it, Sandra.”
So the trio hung out together at the Maya Theater in downtown Los Angeles, where they enthusiastically sang Duran Duran’s 1982 hit “Rio.”
“Her name is Rio and she dances in the sand,” Sandra sang as she danced around in a black coat decorated with diamonds, “like that river winding through a dusty land.”
Not a bad way to make dreams come true.
