FX announces extension of ‘Snowfall’ for a sixth season — Will be the last of the show
#Roommate, the end of an era is slowly upon us, as we have officially confirmed that the popular crime drama ‘Snowfall’ is coming to an end. The FX Network has announced that ‘Snowfall’ has been renewed for a sixth season, which will also be the last of the series.
Starring Damson Idris and created by the late John Singleton, the ending to the critically acclaimed 1980s drug TV series ‘Snowfall’ has officially arrived. Reporting @ Deadline, FX has just refreshed the series for a sixth season, but unfortunately for the show’s army of devoted fans, season six will be the last. Speaking of the series’ renewal and its impending ending, FX President of Original Programming, Nick Grad, said “It’s the fifth season of ‘Snow falls’ reached new heights of acclaim and viewership, there is no doubt that the series has become an FX classic. We’re excited to order a sixth season that will allow Dave Andron, Walter Mosley and the rest of the producers to deliver ‘Snow falls’ to a climactic finale that showcased the excellence of everyone involved, from the stellar cast led by Damson Idris, to the writers, directors, artists, and crew. ”
Damson Idris also expressed his thanks to the series and appreciated his fan-favorite portrayal of the character ‘Franklin Saint’. “I can’t imagine telling this story anywhere but FX. I am incredibly proud of the history we all have made. Especially the ‘Snowfall’ impact already on culture. It’s rare for a TV show to reach the sixth season mark, and saying goodbye to ‘Franklin Saint’ is heartbreaking. But the family and relationships I’ve made on this journey will last a lifetime. I know John Singleton is looking down and smiling proudly.”
‘Snowfall’ is currently in the middle of its fifth season and is currently the most-watched season in the series’ history, according to Nielsen’s latest ratings, according to Nielsen’s latest ratings. The show premiered back in July 2017.
