Together with the New York Thoroughbred Breeders, Wanamaker’s has released the catalog for the second annual New York Age Race Horse Sale. The sale seeks to provide buyers with the opportunity to ensure high-quality New York-bred horses for the end of the year. Belmont Park spring / summer meet and Racecourse Saratoga summer meet.
Bidding will open on June 8 at 8:00 a.m. ET, with the first listing set to close at 5:00 p.m. Subsequent listings will close in three-minute increments. Details of the purchasing process can be found at wanamakers.com/buy.
Last year’s featured list Cairo Road who won Maddie May Stakes at Aqueduct race track in February. Also offered are become the boss who won the Saratoga 2022 summer meet after being sold for $35,000 through Wanamaker’s and recently won a starter grant at Belmont Park.
Category highlights include:
- Cause of Cinderella ‘s 5 year old daughter congratulations , offered as a racing/incubator prospect. Most recently, she won a tier one, state-bred grant at Belmont Park and was placed in the running on June 1.
- the flame of freedom ‘s 4-year-old daughter Bellamy Street . She is a two-time winner, most recently placing second behind Cinderella’s Cause in a grant at Belmont Park, and is eligible for grants and starter conditions.
- Slant, a 2-year-old pony untrained by rag alliance . He is the half brother of the stake winner and runner-up in class 3 conquer hard candy .
- Stewie, a 2-year-old pony untrained by exaggeration . His dam is the half-sister to the classified multi-stakes winner, Nikki’s Sand Castle .
