VW ID.4 Tax Credit, Tesla Discounts, Jaguar and Range Rover EVs: Today’s Car News

As part of a confirmation message a $18.7 billion investment in Jaguar and Land Rover EVs For more than five years, Jaguar Land Rover has been validating the electric architecture for Range Rover SUVs, including the “midsize” Range Rover EV that will start taking orders later this year. It also announced the first of three new electric Jaguar models—a “4-door GT” priced at around $125,000, with more power than any previous Jaguar and a target range ( WLTP) is 430 miles.
Volkswagen on Wednesday confirmed that 2023 VW ID.4 eligible for the full $7,500 Clean Car Credit. This model is manufactured in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with US battery sourcing. Rivian also confirmed its R1S and R1T 2023 on the IRS listing tax credit qualifying model.
And Wednesday brings another Tesla sale—This is the sixth time this year—reducing the price of most Model 3 and Model Y models by $2,000 and $3,000, respectively. The cuts come less than a day before Tesla presents its quarterly financial results to analysts and shareholders.
