Volkswagen ID. Buzz LWB unveils – longer 3-row electric MPV version of VW with 6 or 7 seats

Volkswagen has revealed a new variant of the ID. Buzz electric van with a longer wheelbase of 250 mm, currently has three rows of seats with a capacity of up to 7 people.

As far as we can tell, two different interior options are available – one with a captain’s seat for the second row making it six in a 2-2-2 configuration, and another with an armband. 60:40 split seats in the second row offer a 2-3-2 seven-seat configuration.

ID. Buzz LWB now has a length of 4,962 mm with a wheelbase of 3,238 mm, compared to a length of 4,712 mm and a wheelbase of 2,988 mm of the ID.Buzz SWB.

The supplied battery now also has a larger capacity – 85 kWh compared to the two-row ID. Buzz’s 77 kWh battery. The single-engine rear-wheel drive option is now available with 286 hp, with a top speed of 160 km/h. This is an improvement over ID. Maximum power of 204 PS and 145 km/h of Buzz SWB. 0-100 km/h is achieved in 7.9 seconds.

Volkswagen plans to offer an ID. The later Buzz LWB GTX, with an additional motor up front, brings the total output to 339 hp, with a faster 0-100 km/h sprint of 6.4 seconds.

If you want to buy one Volkswagen ID. Buzz SWB in Malaysia, parallel importers are selling it for RM588k last time we checked. Don’t know if VPCM will officially include it or not.
