Violent dog is led into the meeting and greeting room of the shelter, the adventurer hides

A dog named Brutus surrendered to the shelter for being “too aggressive”. His original owner left a note explaining their decision. They say the following:

“We have decided to surrender to Brutus. His behavior was uncontrollable and we didn’t feel safe in the house with him. We don’t take this decision lightly, but last night was horrible and we can’t do this much longer.”

Lee, from The Asher House, was called to see if he would adopt Brutus. Lee waited to meet the dog, not knowing what would happen. Lee learned that Brutus was even more aggressive towards men. This encounter could be a disaster. The door opened and Lee braced himself.

Brutus entered the room and Lee studied his attitude. As someone with extensive experience with all types of dogs, he went out of his way and opened his arms to Brutus. The dog immediately let Lee hug. Brutus then licked his face. It’s lightning love. Lee was very confused. Why is this dog surrendered? Not only is he well behaved, but he is also extremely friendly and sweet. That’s weird for sure!

Lee took the opportunity to nurture Brutus. In his heart he knew that this dog would be the right fit. He introduced Brutus to his dog Kai. Kai isn’t so sure but he’s known for being a bit demanding. HAHA!

Upon returning to The Asher House, Brutus settled in right away. Lee was amazed at how quickly he adapted. The story just keeps getting better and has an unexpected happy ending that you can’t miss. Thank you Lee and The Asher House for all you do!
