Viofo A139 Pro – the first action camera using Sony Starvis 2

The Viofo A139 Pro 4K dash cam is now available in Malaysia and can be configured with 1 channel, 2 channels or 3 channels.

The 2-channel configuration allows you to add a 1080P internal camera or a 1080P rear camera, while the 3-channel configuration allows you to add both an internal 1080P camera and a rear 1080P camera to the 4K front camera.

The coolest thing about the Viofo A139 Pro is that it uses Sony’s latest Starvis 2 IMX678 sensor for the front 4K camera. Up to now, Viofo A139 Pro is the first and only dash cam using the IMX678 chip.

The new Starvis 2 IMX678 chip promises better low-light (night) recording with reduced noise and motion blur. This will help ensure that license plates can be clearly captured in the footage, which will be useful for evidence gathering. The front camera can shoot 4K at 30fps or 1080P at 60fps.

Thanks to the Starvis 2 sensor, it is safe to say that the Viofo A139 Pro will probably give you the best night video footage on the market right now, until Viofo’s competitors launch the Starvis 2 dash cam. their own. Thinkware has announced a new Starvis 2 powered U3000, but it’s not on sale yet.

If you haven’t installed a camera journey in your car yet, best to install one as soon as possible. Dash cams should be a standard feature in every car these days, as they can provide invaluable evidence to protect us in the event of an accident.
