Video captures a horrible collision from the perspective of a lucky survivor of a motorbike



A motorcyclist was seriously injured and the driver of a stolen SUV was killed in a horrific chain collision on a Pacific Coast highway in New York. Malibu near Los Angeles, when Lexus SUV care into one pickup truckcausing the pickup to spin and hit the driver.

The accident was recorded in a impressive video by motorcyclist, Stephen Levey, who records his ride with a cell phone around his neck.

“Suddenly, there was a truck straight to my face,” Levey said KTLA station.

According to Los Angeles police, 2017’s unnamed driver Lexus NX, which was stolen, has just been discharged from a rehabilitation clinic. In the video, he speeds through an intersection and tries to squeeze between cars on the highway. He clamped the tail of a gray pickup truck in his path. The truck hit Levey.

The SUV then slammed into a 30-foot embankment, flipped upside down, caught fire and exploded before passers-by could pull the driver out. He later died at a hospital, police said.

Meanwhile, Levey was airlifted to a hospital, where he received extensive reconstructive surgery on his severed right arm and severely damaged right foot, and was treated for atelectasis.

“Everybody agreed that I wouldn’t do it,” Levey told a KTLA reporter in an interview that aired Wednesday. The accident happened last month. “I spent 11 days in the hospital and now I am home. Eleven days ago, I didn’t think I was alive,” he said. “I broke nine ribs so I couldn’t cough, sneeze, clear my throat, blow my nose. Eating and drinking is a big challenge. It’s very hurt.”

Levey said he is accumulating large medical bills. “To say I’m worried about my future is an understatement.”
