Universal Studios Japan (USJ) announced that they will have Jujutsu Kaisen-themed rides and attractions for a limited time. They will be available from September 16, 2022. The attractions will focus on the “curses” theme, although there are no details yet on what they will have or be associated with. However, going against the precedent of previous USJ collaborative events, they will likely include roller coasters (including 3D rides), as well as merchandise and food. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
Universal Studios Japan has worked with many anime and video game franchises in the past. Usually, these events feature roller coasters or special restaurants. Previous USJ partnerships include partnerships with Hunter x Hunter and One Piece Film Red. In addition to the “regular” roller coasters, USJ also offers 3D rides. These actions will put guests in a roller coaster simulation game that will move and shake according to the action played on the 3D screen. More information on other trips and events that will take place in Jujutsu Kaisen cooperation will appear in the future.
Jujutsu Kaisen Is one Weekly Shonen Jump anime and manga series. It tells the story of Yuji Itadori, who becomes the owner of a powerful curse named Ryomen Sukuna to protect his friends. Yuji then joins Tokyo prefecture’s Jujutsu High School to train and become a witch so that he can avoid execution, as well as help others fight the Cursed Spirit.
