US Open 2024 TV schedule, coverage, where to watch online, live stream, channels, golf tee times

The third major championship of the 2024 golf season arrived at the weekend with a pair of Americans winning the first two majors of the year. The USGA has packed its flagship event with nearly all of the world’s best golfers as the 2024 US Open contenders are taking on No. 2 Pinehurst for the first time in a decade.

Scottie Scheffler entered another major as the favorite, this time with a notable effort at the PGA Championship that was marred by an arrest in which all charges were dropped. Scheffler, who won the Masters and Players Championship this season, might have won the PGA if not for those unfortunate events. However, instead of competing at Pinehurst, he barely made it and started re-evaluating his game after 36 holes of the US Open.

Rory McIlroy began the second round on Friday as one of the two leaders after shooting a lowly 65 at Pinehurst at the US Open. Yet he sits two shots in the back 36-hole solo leader Ludvig Åberg, a 24-year-old Swede, is playing in his first major championship season. Åberg is continuing a really long run that began at the last Ryder Cup; He shot a 69 on Friday and has played some of the best golf of anyone on the PGA Tour in the first three majors of the year, finishing solo No. 2 behind Scheffler at this year’s Masters.

While attending the US Open can be exciting, simply watching golf play on its grandest stage is a treat every year. At CBS Sports, we’re excited to bring you detailed coverage of the U.S. Open all week long.
