2023 March Madness Women’s Sweet 16 highlights: Miami-Villanova in action
The NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament continues Friday with the Sweet 16 underway.
The nation’s top scorer, Maddy Siegisttakes center stage in the opening game of the day as she Villanova forest cat receive unpleasant mind Hurricane Miami.
Accordingly, LSU battle Wyoming in the Greenville Area 2 at 5 p.m. ET, while Caitlin Clark and Iowa Hawkeye against Colorado at 7:30 p.m. ET in Seattle Area 4.
End of the evening, Miss Rebel Olerenewing their nasty win over 1st place Stanfordwill undertake Louisville at 10 p.m. ET.

Miami (FL) vs Villanova

The Villanova Wildcats got off to a strong start when Lucy Olsen made a basic pass to Christina Dalcee, who took advantage to make it 6-4.

Wildcats all-time top scorer Maddy Siegrist started the warm-up early in the game, leading Villanova by nine points in the first half.
Sticks mean business
But Canes, who beat a top-seeded Indiana team to reach the Round of 16 Sweet, has no intention of rolling. Jasmyne Roberts shot wide into the net and made Canes 23-17.

Subsequent shoves from Siegrist and Bella Runyan, who entered the basket after a steal, helped the Wildcats take the lead in Miami in the second quarter.

The Canes held on to the lead in the first half of the game, going into halftime 46-33, thanks to smooth strikes like these from Ja’Leah Williams.
