Underwater Shooting Wins Landscape Photo of the Year
Underwater photo maker and DPG Photographer of the Week Martin Broen won the “Picture of the Year” award in the competition International landscape photo of the year competition (ILSPOTY).
Martin’s amazing image of a waterhole has surpassed dozens of other great landscape (and “seascape”) photos. He captured the photo in a room between the cenotes Chiibal Xuux and Euforia.
You can—and should—check out all the winners, here. Sure enough, the rest are images from above the water; but they provide a lot of inspiration. Landscape photography is one of the most challenging because there are no outstanding subjects. It’s all about contrast, negative space, and balance. Looking for some advice?
