Un Ojo Coach Ricky Courville will not participate in the May 21 Preakness Stakes (G1) because of a bruised foot.
Similar trauma has kept ‘s son Laoban out of the Kentucky Derby on May 7 presented by Woodford Reserve (G1) flared up.
“His paws were a little warm again this morning,” said Louisiana-based Courville May 16. “The vets examined him, and he’s not 100%. I’m also looking at him. solve the same problem. I guess the type of work is… exacerbating it.”

“He looked really good in the morning (Sunday), and in the afternoon they came and checked on him. He had a bowel movement, his feet a little warm,” Courville said. “So did this morning.”
Un Ojo has raised $782,571 from seven startups. His final appearance was a eighth-place finish in the April 2 (G1) Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park. Before that race, he won Rebel Stakes (G2) at Oaklawn.
