UN Delegation signs new plan on election security in Central African Republic
Security plan represents “an essential tool” paving the way for upcoming local elections, said UN mission spokesman Vladimir Monteiro. Voters will vote in local elections for the first time since 1988.
The CAR Government and the UN Stabilization Mission (MINUSCA) signed a new plan on Tuesday amid a recent flare-up of tensions.
