UFC’s Tony Ferguson Arrested After Rollover Crash in LA

UFC veteran Tony Ferguson was arrested early Sunday morning following a multi-vehicle collision in Hollywood, the Los Angeles Police Department told ESPN.

LAPD told the Los Angeles Times that Ferguson, 39, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

Video of the scene appeared on YouTube via AXN News early Sunday. The video shows Ferguson near a pickup truck that overturned and collided with several parked cars. Ferguson did not appear to be injured.

The LAPD told the Times that the crash happened around 2 a.m. Pacific Time and Ferguson refused to take a breath test at the scene. He is said to be facing a misdemeanor charge.

An LAPD spokesman said Ferguson had passengers on board but no injuries were reported.

Ferguson management declined to comment on the matter when contacted by ESPN.

Ferguson (25-8) is a former interim lightweight champion. He’s been fighting exclusively in the UFC since 2011 and has been one of the top 155-pound fighters of the past decade. Fighting out of Ventura, California, Ferguson is currently sliding five games. Most recently he suffered a decisive loss to Nate Diaz in September.
