Two new days arranged for Usyk-Joshua rematch
The original plans for July 23 had come to an end and time was running out to secure the fight for then.
August 13 or 20 are now the top dates for the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua take place.
Speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show Joshua promoter Eddie Hearn reiterate that the war will take place and explain why it must be moved.
“July 23 is clearly the proposed date. We have reached a point where we are now less than seven weeks away. We have global media tours, they have the TV rights to secure international sponsorship deals.
“You will see that fight on August 13 and 20, two proposed dates. We’re literally signing the papers as we go so you’ll get an official announcement soon. The international media tour will kick off the week of June 20 or so.
“The war is on, the war is going on, the Middle East looks pretty stable. I’ll save the exact details for the announcement but we’re pretty much there. “
