Two-component cantaloupe cooler for dogs [Recipe]

  • Not a substitute for professional veterinary help.

Cool and creamy, this simple dog mix combines two standard breakfast ingredients: cantaloupe and yogurt. If you’re hosting a fun weekend brunch for your best friends, this whip creation is an easy and elegant option for any lucky pups to attend.

If rosemary potatoes are on the menu, save a few springs to put on this fridge and snap a picture for Instagram. What’s a weekend brunch without a nice photo session?

  • Type: Summer cooler

Ratio

Element

  • 1 cup frozen cantaloupe
  • 1/2 cup fat-free yogurt
  • Fresh rosemary for garnish

We used fat-free yogurt, but you can use whatever your dog (and you!) likes for the foundation. Other options include goat’s milk, coconut milk, or regular milk if your dog’s digestive capacity allows it.

Guide

Place the cantaloupe and yogurt in a blender and blend until smooth.

Pour into a serving bowl and garnish with a small sprig of rosemary if you feel like it.
