Two arrested in Dallas Cowboys CB Kelvin Joseph . murder


A day later Dallas Cowboys hidden corner Kelvin Joseph met with Dallas police, two arrests were made in Cameron Ray’s death on March 18.

On Saturday, police announced the arrests of Aries Jones, 28, and Truyone English, 21, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in connection with the murders.

Joseph’s attorney, Barry Sorrels, said Friday that Joseph was a passenger in the vehicle from which a man was shot dead last month, but he was not the shooter.

According to surveillance video released by Dallas police, there was an incident between two groups of friends, Joseph and Ray. Later, footage emerged from a passing SUV as Ray, 20, and his friends made their way to their car. At 2:01 a.m., police responded to a shooting on the 3600 block of Greenville Avenue and found Ray. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died.

According to multiple sources, the Cowboys encouraged Joseph to meet with police about what he knew about the incident. On Friday, the Cowboys released a statement about the situation:

“The Dallas Cowboys are aware of the tragic incident that occurred in Dallas on March 18. First of all, our hearts go out to Mr. Ray’s family and loved ones. The Foundation is aware of the connection there is. Kelvin Joseph’s involvement with this incident. We are in contact with Dallas law enforcement and have notified the NFL office. We have no further comment at this time.”

A spokesman for the federation said the matter was being reviewed in accordance with the union’s individual conduct policy.

The Cowboys picked Joseph in the second round of the 2021 draft. He played 10 games last season with two starts.
