Two arrested after shooting dead council worker Ashley Dale in Liverpool | UK News

Merseyside Police say a man and a woman have been arrested following the fatal shooting of council worker Ashley Dale in Liverpool on Sunday.

28 years old is was found with gunshot wounds in her garden in the Old Swan area and was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police investigating murder previously released CCTV footage of a car being driven in the areaimmediately before the incident was reported.

Authorities say they do not believe she was the intended target of the attack.

Her death was part of the violence taking place in Merseyside. Just a day after Ashley was killed, Olivia Pratt-Korbel was shot dead by a masked assailant while inside her home on Kingsheath Avenue, in the city’s Dovecot section.

Sam Rimmer, 20, was also killed on August 16 – the first of three deadly shootings that took place over a seven-day period.

Mr. Rimmer, from Bootle, was at Lavrock Bank with a group of friends when two e-bikes hit a dead end. Several shots were fired towards the group at 11:40 p.m. Three arrests were made, but they were released on bail.

‘A callous attack’ leaves a family heartbroken

Ashley’s Family honor their “bright light” and said “our hearts are broken into a million pieces”.

Following the two’s arrests, Detective Chief Inspector Cath Cummings said: “We are still thinking about Ashley Dale’s family and friends following the horrific incident that led to her tragic death.

“Our officers have now made two arrests last night. Investigations continue to determine the motive behind this attack and identify all those involved.

“This is a heartless attack carried out on a residential street that has brought tragedy to the heart of a community in Merseyside, and we will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to bring it back to life.” responsible people to justice.
