TTartisan announces compact 23mm F1.4 wide-angle focal length for APS-C camera systems: Digital photography review


TTartisan announced details of its new 23mm F1.4 wide-angle prime designed for APS-C camera systems. The lens provides a 35mm equivalent focal length and is available for a wide range of APS-C camera systems.

The manual lens is composed of eight elements in six groups, including three high refractive index elements and one low dispersion element. It has an aperture range of F1.4 to F16, uses a 10-blade aperture diaphragm, has a minimum focusing distance of 20cm (7.8”), and uses a 43mm front filter thread. Depending on the version of lens mount you go with, lenses weigh between 222–225g (8oz). All models will be 60mm (2.4”) in diameter and 40.5mm (1.6”) long.

Speaking of mounts, the lens will be available for Canon EOS M, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds and Sony E-mount camera systems. The lens will be available in two different colors: one with an all-black design and the other in color. black with silver focus ring.
