Poor Nelson is a good dog who has been terribly wronged by human hands. But for the mistreatment and cruel treatment of this three-year-old darling, he still loves people and has won every heart at the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA).

Nelson’s rescue began when a dog lover spotted him lost and confused along a road in Jackson County, GA, and immediately realized that something was wrong. Stopped to help, the good spirit saw this poor dog in excruciating pain because someone had zipped a zipper around his penis, and the wound he caused was horrible.

Terrible and intentional abuse

On Facebook, the Humanitarian Association of Northeast Georgia reported that Nelson had “not stopped crying since being in their care”.

“A zipper tie was tied so tightly around his penis that it swelled up, the tissue started to die. . . and as you can imagine, this was unbearably painful for poor Nelson.”

The team at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital untethered him and did what they could to save his penis, but “unfortunately, after all efforts, it was concluded that his penis was damaged.” necrosis due to strangulation of this organ”.
