To come up with this list, TipRanks analyzed every stock recommendation made by analysts over the past decade. Ratings are based on analysts’ ability to generate profits with stock ratings and price targets.
TipRanks algorithms calculated the average return and statistical significance of each rating, as well as the overall success rate of the analysts. Each rating made over the past decade is measured over a one-year period.
TipRanks used it Expert Center tool to identify the top ten analysts who have a high success rate, defying general market trends and outperforming their peers.
No.1 Mark Lipacis – Jefferies
Mark Lipacis ranked first out of 8,371 analysts tracked on TipRanks. The five-star analyst has an overall success rate of 73%. Lipacis’s best rating is on chipmaker Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA). His buy rating on NVDA stock from February 8, 2016 to February 8, 2017 produced a return of 374.8%.
No. 2 Jason Seidl – TD Cowen
Jason Seidl is second on the list and has a 73% success rate. Seidl’s top recommendation is Daseke (NASDAQ:DSKE), providing flat and specialized transportation and logistics solutions. The analyst generated a 327.7% return through his buy recommendation on DSKE from May 7, 2020 to May 7, 2021.
No.3 Quinn Bolton – Needham
Quinn Bolton ranks 3rd on TipRanks Top 10 Analysts list with a success rate of 68%. Bolton’s best review of the past decade is ACM . Research (NASDAQ: ACMR), a company that manufactures semiconductor devices. Through his buy recommendation on ACMR, Bolton generated a 608.4% return between August 19, 2019 and August 19, 2020.
4 Dan Payne – State bank

No. 6 Rick Schafer – Oppenheimer
Sixth analyst Rick Schafer has a 73% success rate. Similar to Lipacis, Schafer’s best recommendation is NVDA. The analyst made a profit of 190.7% from August 19, 2019 to August 19, 2020.

Ross Seymore took seventh place and had a 77% success rate. Seymore’s best recommendation is Ambarella (NASDAQ: AMBA), a fabless semiconductor design company. Seymore generated 150% returns from November 5, 2012 to November 5, 2013.
8 Patrick Brown – Raymond James
