“Expect the unexpected,” Tony Harrison said in one Interview posted on fightHub Thursday.” Harrison, a former middleweight boxer, will face famous and undefeated Australian Tim Tszyu next weekend in Tszyu’s native Australia. undisputed middleweight champion Jermell Charlo An injury ruled Charlo out, so Harrison took his place Credit both Harrison and Tszyu for agreeing to face each other in a less than optimal situation … because this fight could be a coin toss.
“I feel great,” Harrison said of his weight going into fight week. “It’s not a struggle for me. It doesn’t dry out.” Preparations aside, Harrison was asked about his claim that Tszyu was a basic fighter. “He didn’t do anything that no one could not see with the naked eye,” Harrison said. “He’s just a basic fighter.” Later, Harrison 29-3-1 was asked about Tszyu’s comment that he could both fight and defeat the Americans. “I think we have a boxer who is confident about himself,” Harrison said. “That’s how Tim should speak as a champion boxer.”
Of course, the interview revolves around Tszyu’s acclaimed authority. “I think people are giving him more credit than he deserves when it comes to the power aspect of it,” Harrison said. “Sitting here and acting like he’s Kyostya Tszyu, I think we’re giving him a bit too much.” Eventually, however, Harrison realized that chat time was coming to an end. “All talk is over,” he said. “Here I am. I’ve flown all over the world and here I am.” For someone who was about to face a highly regarded opponent thousands of miles away from home, no more, no less, in that opponent’s home country, Harrison appeared quite relaxed during the interview.
He said: “I will not skip any ts and no i without a period. “I’m smacking my ass, man, and I’ll be ready to fight at night.” Harrison’s career was nothing if not interesting. Boasting a 29-3-1 record, the Detroit-born boxer stunned the ring world by deciding Jermell Charlo in their 2018 bout. However, Charlo came back and beat Harrison by long distance in their 2019 rematch. Since then, Harrison has played only twice, drawing with Bryant Perrella in 2021 and deciding on Sergio Garcia last April.
However, a 21-0 win over Tszyu will definitely put Harrison back on the map as one of the tournament’s strongest names.
