Enter Ghostwire: Tokyo – Prelude, a free-to-play visual novel adventure now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Prelude’s story centers on KK, a shrewd detective who investigates mysterious phenomena taking set approximately six months before the events of Ghostwire: Tokyo. Following the lead of a missing friend, KK and his investigators stumble upon what can only be described as urban legends that come to life…
“By letting people experience and enjoy events that precede events in [Ghostwire: Tokyo] through another genre made by another team, it can help open up and expand people’s understanding of the world and the universe we’ve created,” said game director Kenji Kimura.
Script writer Takahiro Kaji said: “There is a different atmosphere, a more relaxed kind of atmosphere in visual novels. “KK is a veteran, familiar with the situation, working within his area of expertise and having good teamwork with Rinko’s team. By understanding KK a little better through [Ghostwire: Tokyo – Prelude]players will be able to get a different perspective and see another side of KK’s dialogue in [Ghostwire: Tokyo]. ”
With each level, players will discover new elements of the story by building their relationship with KK’s crew, experiencing a taste of Tokyo’s mystique, and getting to know KK’s background first. as he teams up with Akito to stop a citywide threat in Ghostwire Tokyo.
