Tina Turner’s son Ronnie dies aged 62


Tina Turner suffered another tragedy this week after her son Ronnie died aged 62, just years after another of her children committed suicide.

His wife, Afida, was the first to announce his sudden passing Instagram.

“My God Ronnie Turner a true angel, big soul, very divine, my husband, my best friend, my baby, your mother, your nurse, I have tried my best until finally, this time i don’t [sic] can save you loving you for these 17 years, this is very very very bad, I am so angry 😡,” Afida captioned a post filled with photos of her late husband.

She added: “This is a tragedy for your brother Craig and your father, ike turner and rest in heaven 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️😭😭💔💔 so unfair.”

In an Instagram post shared on Friday, Tina Turner wrote that Ronnie, whose father is Ike Turner, “left the world too soon.” Ronnie is the only son born of her relationship with Ike Turner.

The 83-year-old wrote: “In sadness, I close my eyes and think about you, my dear son.

TMZ reported that law enforcement received an emergency call from someone saying that Ronnie was having trouble breathing. Just a few minutes later, he stopped breathing completely.

First responders attempted CPR to revive Ronnie, however he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

The exact cause of Ronnie’s death is unknown, but he battled cancer years ago.

Turner has four children, with the eldest, Craig, committing suicide at the age of 59 with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in July 2018.

Later, “What’s Love Got To Do With It” told the New York Times that she lived a “terrible life” due to all the abuse she suffered at the hands of Ike, along with disease that she has had to battle for many years.

She said she just “continues” to face all the adversity.

“I had a terrible life,” she shared. “I just kept going. You just keep going, and you hope that something will happen.”

She then pointed to her luxury home in Switzerland, Chateau Algonquin, and added, “This one has arrived.”
