Thousands of visitors marveled at Castello CUBE during Biennale – Europe premiere for unique golden artwork in Venice

Castello CUBE is a unique work of art. Never before in history has this much gold been made into a work of art. Today, thousands of visitors have had the rare opportunity to admire the CUBE during the Venice Biennale, where – under the highest security precautions – Niclas Castello’s work was displayed for several hours near Ca’ di Dio.

The work is made of 999.9 24 carat pure gold, weighs 186 kg. To create a work like this is already a pioneering achievement.

The excitement of the people in Venice made the silent object come alive. Children carefully touch its surface; groups of people taking happy selfies; Art experts discussed the expressiveness and effects of the subject.

Art historian, Dr Dieter Buchhart: “CUBE is a conceptual work that appears to have come from another world and now stands on the cobblestones of Venice, without a pedestal.”

Sven Wenzel: “Niclas Castello’s inimitable artwork pioneers the connection between the real art world and the digital art world (NFTs).”

This has been made possible thanks to the art and NFT platform “Castello Forum”, which works with the new cryptocurrency Castello Coin.

The purpose of the platform is to promote the projects of talented artists around the world; to set them up and make them accessible to a wider audience.

Art works are exhibited in public places so that everyone can access and people have the opportunity to rediscover art in the open space.
