Thousands of visitors marvel at the Castello CUBE during the Biennale – The European premiere of unique gilded artwork in Venice
Castello CUBE is a unique work of art. Never before in history has so much gold been made into a work of art. Today, thousands of visitors enjoy the rare opportunity to admire the CUBE during the Venice Biennale, where – under the highest security precautions – Niclas Castello’s work was exhibited for several hours near Ca’ di Dio .
The artwork is made of 24 carat, 999.9 pure gold, weighing 186 kg. To create a work like this is already a pioneering achievement.
Castello’s cube
The excitement of the people in Venice made the silent object part of a lively event. Children carefully touch its surface; group of people taking a fun selfie; Art experts discussed the expressiveness and effect of the subject.
Art historian, Dr Dieter Buchhart: “The cube is a work of thought that appears to have come from another world and now stands on the cobblestones of Venice, without a pedestal.”
Sven Wenzel: “Niclas Castello’s inimitable artwork pioneers the connection between the real art world and the digital art world (NFT).”
This has been made possible thanks to the art and NFT platform “Castello Forum”, which works with the new cryptocurrency Castello Coin.
The purpose of the platform is to promote the projects of talented artists around the world; to set them up and make them accessible to a wider audience.
Artwork is displayed in public places so that it is accessible to everyone and everyone has the opportunity to rediscover art in open spaces.
