Working at a Mitsubishi dealership is as boring as working at a paint or mattress store – there’s nothing really interesting to sell. Other than the recently redesigned (and quite good) Outlander and PHEV variantThe Mitsubishi dealership only had a fourteen year old one Outlander Sportsthe Eclipse Cross blasphemy and Mirage sedan and hatchback.
Because of this lightweight product line, Mitsubishi dealers always seem to have large used inventories filled with things you wouldn’t expect to see on a Mitsubishi lot. Take Mitsubishi South Area in Sandy, Utah, for example. The dealership currently has 68 new Mitsubishis for sale, most of which are Outlanders. However, their used inventory is large, enough for two or three dealership cars. They currently have 950 used cars for sale, more than ten times the number of new Mitsubishi cars. And there are some interesting things in there, suggesting these guys could be living at local auctions. They have 58 F-150s for sale, 13 of which are Raptors and one is a Predator 2024 With only 206 miles they’re asking $159,950.

Or if you have a large amount of money to spend, you can buy the highest priced car in the lot: a Ferrari F8 Tributo 2022 for $379,950. If you have people moving needs, there’s a range of Mercedes Sprinters, some of which appear to have been modified for off-road duty. If you want American muscles, there are even some Super stock Challenger Hellcat. You won’t pay less than six figures for them, but they’re there. There’s even a random couple RiviansOne C8 Z06 and a Audi RS6 Avantalong with classics like the 1986 Chevy Blazer. These are all in addition to typical used items like Hyundais, Volkswagens and Kias.
We did watched things like this before at dealers. And while it’s great to have a unique and diverse used vehicle lineup, having to rely on this type of inventory at prices reserved for customers who otherwise wouldn’t set foot on your lot is a must. you seem a bit troubled.
